What causes pain on skin surface in the abdominal or vulvas areas
Sep 30, 2011 > Women
Patients occasionally experience pain or skin surface, either in the low abdominal area or on the vulva. This comfort is usually due to herpes if one the vulva or to shingles (herpes zoster) if one the low abdomen or vulva. Pain from these two problems is usually not difficult to diagnose and is not usually confused with the pelvic pain we will discuss in the next from question. Obviously, other skin problem can cause discomfort in the vulva area if the gynecologic is not sure what the problem is.
What causes low abdominal and pelvic pain?
Low abdominal and pelvic is problem for both patients and their doctors. It is not only difficult to diagnose, but it can also be just as difficult to treat. Many well qualified physicians believe that 50 percent of the pelvic pain that women experience is not due to physical abnormalities. The implication is that the pain is often psychological in origin. Although I do not doubt that same pelvic pain is due to emotions, my experience has beet that this is uncommon.
When pain is caused by emotion, the emotions after cause true physical pain that can be treat 9surh as irritable colon). When the physical pain is alleviated, a woman’s emotional problem can be evaluated and treated more easily. If a patient and her doctor purpose pain evaluation, the cause can almost always be found and treated. Some physical causes of this type of pain are discussed in the following question.
Cocaine Effects on The Brain and Body At one time cocaine was considered the drug of upper-class America. Unfortunately, the use of cocaine and its derivative, crack, is now epidemic. It is estimated that 25 to 30 million people have experimented with cocaine in the United States. Approximately 5 million people use the drug regularly. Among young adults, 6,7% have tried crack and 40% tried cocaine. In a recent survey of high school senior, 1 in 18 admitted to trying crack and 14% used cocaine in other forms.
A powerful stimulant, cocaine is derived from the leaves of the South American coca shrub and ground into a crystalline powder. The most common methods of sung the drug are either snorting it, liquefying it and then injecting it, or freebasing (smoking). When snorted, the white powder is sniffed up through the nose. The most potent and expensive method of cocaine use is freebasing. The drug is usually smoked in a water pipe because this provides faster absorption into the bloodstream.
E Coli Symptoms There are many conditions with symptoms similar to those of E. coli infection. Diagnosis of E. coli infection can be complicated by the fact that most bacterial infections that cause diarrhea are accompanied by a high fever. If you have no fever or only a mild fever, your doctor may suspect that something other than bacteria is causing your symptoms.
Treacher Collins Syndrome Pictures Treacher–Collins syndrome (TCS), also known as Treacher-Collins–Franceschetti syndrome, or mandibulofacial dysostosis is a rare autosomal dominant congenital disorder characterized by craniofacial deformities, such as absent cheekbones.Treacher-Collins syndrome is found in about 1 in 10,000 births. In a number of cases a genetic origin is described.
This gene controls development of the bones and other structures of the head and neck. When the gene is faulty, the facial bones don't develop as they should in the womb and a baby is born with characteristic facial features. The extent of these abnormalities varies from person to person, but they often cause problems with hearing, breathing and eating.
Aneurysm Symptoms and Treatment An aneurysm is a bulge in a blood vessel, usually an artery, due to a weakness in the vessel wall, particularly in the elastic, muscular middle layer of the artery wall. An artery has three layers: the intima, which is the smooth inner layer; the media, or middle layer; and the adventitia, which is the tough outer layer. A true aneurysm involves all three layers, whereas a false aneurysm is a disruption or clot in one or two of the layers, causing a bulge in the vessel. A dissecting aneurysm occurs when blood separates the layers, thereby creating an extra channel, sometimes extending the full length of the artery, through which blood flow is diverted from the organs or tissues served by the blood vessel. This dangerous condition can develop in a matter of hours a day.
The main danger of most untreated aneurysm is that they may rupture, causing death due to loss of blood. Even if death does not occur, blood loss may so decrease blood flow to the heart that it cannot work properly.
Multiple Sclerosis Symptoms Multiple sclerosis is characterized by recurrent or chronically progressive neurologic dysfunction caused by lesions in the CNS. The CNS lesions are characterized by multiple areas of demyelination in the CNS. The brain, optic nerves, and spinal cord may be affected.
Biophysical Assessment Definition Examples and Guidelines he heart rate test was more likely to be abnormal first, decreased breathing
activity next, decreased movement next and tone last. This exactly reflects
the model that I gave you at the beginning so that our clinical observation
of what goes wrong mirrors perfectly what was hypothesized in the model
to be the way in which things disappear.
Diabetes Mellitus Treatment Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease which is difficult to cure. Management concentrates on keeping blood sugar levels as close to normal ("euglycemia") as possible without presenting undue patient danger. This can usually be with close dietary management, exercise, and use of appropriate medications (insulin only in the case of type 1 diabetes mellitus. Oral medications may be used in the case of type 2 diabetes, as well as insulin).
Herpes Symptoms in Men Herpes simplex virus (HSV) affects more than one-third of the world's population. HSV exists as types 1 and 2, which have affinities for different body sites. Ninety percent of infections caused by HSV-2 are genital, and 90 percent of those caused by HSV-1 are oral.
Miscarriage Types, Symptoms and Treatment A miscarriage (in medical terms, a spontaneous abortion) is the ending of pregnancy due to the premature delivery of the fetus before the beginning of the twentieth week of pregnancy. At that point, the fetus is not developed enough to survive outside the uterus on its own. (After the twentieth week of pregnancy, a spontaneous abortion is considered a premature delivery or, if the fetus is dead at delivery, a still birth. A pregnancy that is ended artificially is commonly known as an abortion, although the medical term is termination of pregnancy.) Most miscarriages occur with the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
It is impossible to know the number of miscarriages that occur during the first month of pregnancy before a women realizes that she is pregnant the only indication is slightly late menstrual period with a heavier than normal flow. However, about 12 percent of known pregnancies end in miscarriage.
Food, Diet, and Asthma Patients with asthma often wonder whether the food they eat may make their symptoms worse. There is still much uncertainty about diet and asthma, and so confusing advise is often given.
Seizure Diagnosis and Treatment Nonfebrile seizures occur at all ages. The term
"seizure" designates a clinical event that represents dysfunction of
the central nervous system (CNS) and may signal a serious underlying
abnormality; however, more often in children the seizures result from a
transient disturbance of brain function.
