What causes pain on skin surface in the abdominal or vulvas areas
Sep 30, 2011 > Women
Patients occasionally experience pain or skin surface, either in the low abdominal area or on the vulva. This comfort is usually due to herpes if one the vulva or to shingles (herpes zoster) if one the low abdomen or vulva. Pain from these two problems is usually not difficult to diagnose and is not usually confused with the pelvic pain we will discuss in the next from question. Obviously, other skin problem can cause discomfort in the vulva area if the gynecologic is not sure what the problem is.
What causes low abdominal and pelvic pain?
Low abdominal and pelvic is problem for both patients and their doctors. It is not only difficult to diagnose, but it can also be just as difficult to treat. Many well qualified physicians believe that 50 percent of the pelvic pain that women experience is not due to physical abnormalities. The implication is that the pain is often psychological in origin. Although I do not doubt that same pelvic pain is due to emotions, my experience has beet that this is uncommon.
When pain is caused by emotion, the emotions after cause true physical pain that can be treat 9surh as irritable colon). When the physical pain is alleviated, a woman’s emotional problem can be evaluated and treated more easily. If a patient and her doctor purpose pain evaluation, the cause can almost always be found and treated. Some physical causes of this type of pain are discussed in the following question.
Gallbladder diet after surgery Are you looking for gallbladder diet after surgery?
Most people never give a thought to the health of their gallbladder. The pear-shaped organ does have an important job, collecting and storing bile the fluid that helps the body digest fats. But unlike the heart, liver, and kidneys, the gallbladder isn't necessary to keep the body healthy and functioning. Even when it isn't working as well as it should and gallstones develop, most people are unaware that there is a problem.
Yet in a small percentage of people, gallstones can trigger a variety of symptoms, such as abdominal pain, bloating, gas, nausea, and vomiting. When gallstone symptoms are especially uncomfortable, the typical treatment is surgery.
Listeria symptoms during pregnancy Are you looking for listeria symptoms during pregnancy? Listeria infection is a food-borne illness that can be very serious for pregnant women and people with impaired immune systems. Listeria infection is most commonly contracted by eating improperly processed deli meats and unpasteurized milk products.
Hernia Symptoms and treatment A hernia is an abnormal protrusion of part of an organ through the tissues that normally contain it. In this condition, a weak spot or opening in a body wall, often due to laxity of the muscles, allows part of the organ to protrude. A hernia may develop in almost any part of the body; however, the muscles of the abdominal wall are most commonly affected.
Types of hernias
A hernia can be congenital (present at birth) or acquired (often the result of stress or strain on the body wall). Although there are many types of hernias, the following are common :
Umbilical hernia-protrusion of a loop of intestine into the groin (where the folds of abdominal flesh meet the thighs). This type of hernia, which accounts for about 75 percent of all abdominal hernias, is often the result of increased pressured in the abdomen because of lifting, coughing, or straining.
Scrotal hernia-an inguinal hernia that has passed into the scrotum (the sac containing the testes).
Femoral hernia-protrusion of a loop of tissue into the femoral canal, which carries nerves and blood vessels from the abdomen into the upper thigh/groin area. This type of hernia is more common in women than in men.
Incisional hernia-a hernia that occurs at the site of a surgical incision. This type of hernia is often due to strain on healing tissues due to excessive muscular effort, lifting, coughing, or extreme pressure.
Hiatal hernia-protrusion of part of the stomach through the diaphragm and into the chest.
Symptoms of Heart Disease in Women Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death among American women, is more lethal in women than men, and is less aggressively treated in women than in men. Perhaps most troubling is how little women understand about cardiac risk, their ability to control it, and consequently to improve their lifestyle and reduce heart disease. Education and behavior modification are solutions to improving mortality and morbidity from heart disease in the USA. As we move into the next century it will be key to teach women about their risks for the number one killer.
Amyloidosis Prognosis and Treatment Amyloidosis results from the deposition of insoluble, fibrous amyloid proteins, nearly always in the extracellular spaces of organs and tissues. All amyloid proteins share a unique fibrillar ultrastructure. Amyloid fibrils can be deposited locally or may involve virtually every organ system of the body. Amyloid fibril deposition may have no apparent clinical consequences or may lead to severe pathophysiologic changes.
There are multiple clinically and biochemically distinct forms of amyloid that share a unique morphology and secondary structure; some are systemic and others are localized or organ-limited. Although the fibril precursors differ in their amino acid sequences, the polypeptide backbones of these protein precursors assume an identical secondary structure, the beta-pleated sheet conformation, and similar fibrillar morphologies that render them resistant to proteolysis. All amyloid deposits contain an identical nonfibrillar component, the pentraxin or serum amyloid P (SAP). The amyloidoses are classified according to the biochemical nature of the fibril-forming protein. Systemic amyloidoses include biochemically distinct forms that are neoplastic, inflammatory, genetic, or iatrogenic in origin, while localized or organ-limited amyloidoses are associated with aging and diabetes and occur in isolated organs, often endocrine, without evidence of systemic involvement.
Lasik Eye Surgery Cost and Prices Are you looking how much Lasik Eye Surgery Cost?
There have always been concerns about LASIK because of its tendency to induce higher-order aberrations. The advancement of the LASIK technology has helped reduce the risk of clinically significant visual impairment after surgery. There is a correlation between pupil size and aberrations. Effectively, the larger the pupil size, the greater the risk of aberrations. This correlation is the result of the irregularity between the untouched part of the cornea and the reshaped part. Daytime post-lasik vision is optimal, since the pupil is smaller than the LASIK flap. But at night, the pupil may expand such that light passes through the edge of the LASIK flap into the pupil which gives rise to many aberrations, including the appearance of halos surrounding sources of light. There are other currently unknown factors in addition to pupil size that also may lead to higher order aberrations
Cymothoa Exigua in Human and Life Cycle Cymothoa exigua is a tiny crustacean that sneaks up on a fish (specifically, a red snapper) and works its way in through the gills. Typical parasite behavior so far.
Then it attaches itself to the base of the fish's tongue, the tongue evidently being the tastiest part of the fish (get it!?). The parasite uses its claws to dig into the tongue and drink the fish's blood--and that's just the beginning
PCOS diet plan weight loss Are you looking for PCOS diet plan weight loss?
Weight loss has been the major recommendation by physicians for women with PCOS. Lifestyle modifications including stress reduction, exercise, and group support, along with a decrease in total energy intake, have had positive results. A weight decrease of only 5% of total body weight is associated with decreased insulin levels, increased fertility, reduced hirsutism and acne, and lower free testosterone levels.
Blood Pressure Definition Classification and Measurement Devices Blood pressure definition
Blood pressure (BP) is the pressure exerted by circulating blood upon the walls of blood vessels, and is one of the principal vital signs. During each heartbeat, BP varies between a maximum (systolic) and a minimum (diastolic) pressure. The mean BP, due to pumping by the heart and resistance to flow in blood vessels, decreases as the circulating blood moves away from the heart through arteries.
Arteries, Veins, Capillaries and The Heart The blood away which carry the bright red oxygenated blood away from the heart are called arteries. The large arteries, which receive the blood directly from form the heart, branch repeatedly until every part of the body is served by one or more of them.
The blood returns from all parts of the body to the heart through veins. There are many more veins than arteries throughout the body. The veins gradually unite to form larger veins as they approach the heart.
Chronic Hives in Children Hives are harmless skin allergic reactions which might irritate a child a great deal. They appear as raised pale or red colored skin welts. Hives may also appear as mosquito bites that keep changing their shapes and even their locations. Hives in kids are generally found on arms, legs, back and torso. Children may find the itching associated with hives quite unbearable!
Acne Vulgaris Treatment Acne vulgaris is a polymorphous skin disorder of the sebaceous follicles that begins around the time of puberty and peaks during the teenage years. Prevalence exceeds 85% in teenagers and then declines to about 8% in 25-to 34-year olds and to 3% in 35- to 44-year-olds. More adolescent boys than girls are afflicted.
