Blood type diet chart and list

Sep 03, 2011 > Diet
Are you looking for blood type diet chart? The blood type diet is a diet advocated by Peter D'Adamo, a naturopathic physician, and outlined in his book Eat Right 4 Your Type. D'Adamo's claim is that ABO blood type is the most important factor in determining a healthy diet, and he promotes distinct diets for people with O, A, B, and AB blood types.

One criticism of D'Adamo's hypotheses and recommendations claims that he provided inadequate evidence. For example, his first book, Eat Right 4 Your Type, published in 1997, contains only a bibliography. While his subsequent books have provided thorough references for the classifications of various foods within his categories of "beneficials", "neutrals" and "avoids", his specific process and reasons for reaching these conclusions of classification remain undocumented.

If you're blood type O ("for old," as in humanity's oldest blood line) your digestive tract retains the memory of ancient times, says D'Adamo, so you're metabolism will benefit from lean meats, poultry, and fish. You're advised to restrict grains, breads, and legumes, and to enjoy vigorous exercise.

Type A ("for agrarian") flourishes on vegetarian diets, "the inheritance of their more settled and less warlike farmer ancestors," says D'Adamo. The type A diet contains soy proteins, grains, and organic vegetables and encourages gentle exercise.

The nomadic blood type B has a tolerant digestive system and can enjoy low-fat dairy, meat, and produce but, among other things, should avoid wheat, corn, and lentils, D'Adamo says. If you're type B, it's recommended you exercise moderately.

The "modern" blood type AB has a sensitive digestive tract and should avoid chicken, beef, and pork but enjoy seafood, tofu, dairy, and most produce. The fitness regimen for ABs is calming exercises.

The plantar fascia can be involved with plantar fasciitis as it inserts into the calcaneus and also the Achilles tendon as it inserts into the back of the calcaneus. These are very common problems. If there is any sense that it is chronic inflammatory in nature and there are other systems involved, really think of a spondyloarthropathy because these areas are very commonly involved with things like ankylosing spondylitis and the like. But I do see patients occasionally and that’s all they have. They just have Achilles tendonitis or plantar fasciitis. Sometimes you can even get bursal inflammation although it’s very difficult to differentiate from direct tendon involvement. But plantar fasciitis, again the most common situation I see is someone who walks a lot. Mail carriers. They start out with a 50 pound bag of mail and it’s hard on their feet. They just walk around and deliver mail all day. But anybody who is on their feet a lot, walking, carrying extra weight, and the pain is usually in the sort of medial aspect of the bottom of the calcaneus. It’s not dead center, because that’s not where the plantar fascia inserts.
